CCQ Journal Home

CCQ Cover Image Welcome to the homepage of Cataloging & Classification Quarterly (CCQ). Its purpose is to provide readers of CCQ with abstracts of articles appearing in upcoming issues, along with special editorials, announcements, book reviews, and other general information regarding this journal. Cataloging & Classification Quarterly is respected as an international forum for discussion in all aspects of bibliographic organization. It presents a balance between theoretical and applied articles in the field of cataloging and classification, and considers the full spectrum of creation, content, management, and use and usability of both bibliographic records and catalogs. This includes the principles, functions, and techniques of descriptive cataloging; the wide range of methods of subject analysis and classification; provision of access for all formats of materials; and policies, planning, and issues connected to the effective use of bibliographic records in modern society. Beginning in 2009 with volume 47, Cataloging & Classification Quarterly will move from an academic year publication cycle of two volumes per year with 4 issues per volume, to a calendary year cycle of a single volume of 8 issues. At that time, the publisher, Taylor & Francis, expects to have completed the migration of the online content from the Haworth Press, Inc. Web site http://www.haworthpressinc.com/ to the Informaworld platform. During this transition, individuals or institutions who may be experiencing difficulties with their online subscriptions should contact haworthpress@taylorandfrancis.com.The journal's editor is Sandra K. Roe <skroe(at)ilstu.edu>, who leads an Editorial Board composed of distinguished professionals in the field of librarianship. The Editor Emerita is Ruth C. Carter <rrcarter(at)nauticom.net>, the Editor for Network Access and Applications is Robert Bothmann <robert.bothmann(at)mnsu.edu>, the Book Reviews Editor is Jane Schmidt <jschmidt(at)ryerson.ca>, and the Cataloging News Editor is Mary Curran <mgcurran(at)uottawa.ca>.   Google Search WWW Search the CCQ Website ©Haworth Press, Inc.
